Jelly Beans!

Very cherry, berry blue, chocolate pudding, ...

                                 JELLY BEANS!!!!

The "Jelly Belly" factory is a great place to go. My favorite thing about it is the free candy. There is a train that will take you around the factory on a video tour, showing the process of how Jelly Bellies are made.  Did you know the process of making Jelly Bellies can take 7-21 days?

On the tour we learned that President Ronald Reagan loved Jelly Beans.  He loved jelly beans a lot! I'm not kidding he started almost all of his meetings by passing around the jar of Jelly Bellies. Ronald Reagan also had special compartments for his jelly beans on air force one, so they wouldn't spill all over the place. (Ronald Reagan's favorite jelly bean flavor was licorice.)

They have mosaic art made of the jelly beans that are pictures of famous people and animals. The first mosaic made was of President Ronald Reagan, but the most popular mosaic portrat is of Elvis Presley. At the end of your tour you get one pack of jelly beans, or more if you give a tip your tour guide. Then you enter a gift shop where you can buy trinkets and jelly beans.  They also feature a sample bar, where you can try all the flavors.  Free tours are daily, but not on a few holidays at 10100 Jelly Belly Ln. Pleasant prairie WI.

I LOVE Ps

I like pizza
I like puppies.
I like pop (soda)
I like P.J.s and so much more.
My favorite is PRAYER because it's talking to God.

PRAY
Here are some steps on how to pray.

PRAISE

Thank God for who He is what He has done in your life.

REPENT

Ask God to forgive your sins. Then make better choices.

ASK

Ask God to provide what you need: for safety, for health, for friends and for family.

YIELD

Take a moment to listen to God, and do His will.

That is a way to pray.

Cheek Pinchers

Sometimes when I go to grown up parties and I am one of the youngest ones there, I feel like if I am not careful they will start pinching my cheeks.  They might say things like, "she is so adorable," even though  am not a little kid any more.  Seriously this is like a nightmare for me!  I am glad that it doesn't happen in real life.

Hello World, From Olive Smarts

Since I was born I have been working for the Lord: making friends, then moving and making friends again. We finally settled in small house in Wisconsin.  Throughout my blogging, I will share about friendships, faith and family.  I like the color lime green. I LOVE pizza! I enjoy all animals except cats.
My best friend is Bunny; she is kind, loving and loyal.  Like many eight year old girls, we like playing, sleepovers, and other fun stuff.  You might want to check in from time to time and read about our crazy adventures.
I enjoy learning about God and sharing the Good News with others.  I was recently baptized. It was my way of showing the world that I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.  Memorizing God's Word is important to me and  AWANA has helped me learn many Bible verses.
My family can be crazy at times, but we have lots of fun.  My dad is a great tickler and makes awesome chocolate chip pancakes! He is the smartest guy I know, and I get my brain power from him. My mom is pretty fun and creative. I get my artistic talent from her.  She's a blogger too you can have your mom read hers: Olive You Because.  Finally I would like to introduce my little sister, Adi: she is funny, energetic, and very confident.  I almost think she fearless at times.  I am more cautious; so we balance each other out. Oh yeah, I can't forget my dog, Rugger.  He is our trusty guard dog, and our furry friend.

I am excited to share life experiences with you, and hope that my blog encourages you.
